Poor And Feeble Though We Be

by Anna Dober (1713-1739) tr. J. Wesley.

Tune: Hendon 7s

1 POOR and feeble though we be,
Saviour, we belong to Thee;
Thine we are, Thou Son of God,
Thine, the purchase of Thy blood.

2 Boundless wisdom, power divine,
Love unspeakable, are Thine;
Praise by all to Thee be given,
Son of God, and Heir of Heaven!

Gregory Morris said ...
Lovely hymn. But an irresistible parody arose:

Poor and feeble though we be-
All these cars belong to we.
