Harry Boyt was the father of the hymn writer Edwin Joseph Boyt (1906-1957). He was born in East Tytherley, Hampshire on 12 Feb 1861 and died at Hornchurch, Essex on 27 Feb 1940. In 1901 he lived in Acton, Middlesex (where all their four children were born) and was a Commercial Traveller selling wallpaper and paint.
