I have numerous little bits of information about George James Walker (25 November 1812 - 26 April 1886), but I still haven’t found the time to marshal them into a short biographical essay. In the meantime you will find quite a few details (together with several of my sources) in my Elusive Quest of the Spiritual Malcontent 226-228 nn. 38-46. He is the Mr Walker of Teignmouth mentioned in Amy Toulmin's MS account of occurrences in 1847... Timothy Stunt
