I have PAH's edition of Darby's "Notes and Comments on Scripture", vol. V from 1893 which shows his address to be "P. A. Humphery, Cleve Hill, Weston". This proves the spelling "Humphery" to be the right one, as it was used by himself.
A French Brethren history (F. Cuendet: " Souvenez-vous de vos conducteurs", page 66 ) has him as "Percy A. Humphrey (!)" from Bath. His name occurs in the Censuses of 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901 as "Percy A. Humphrey or Humphery" together with his wife Emily A. and several Children. Address of 1881 is "Dwelling: Cleevehill" which agrees with the book. Born about 1839 in Bedford. One child (probably the first) and the wife, were born in Bengal, India.
I know nothing about his departure. A "Percy A Humphery" died in Penzance, Cornwall, in Apr-Jun 1911, 72 years old, which would fit with his birth in about 1839.

Thanks. Yep he seems to have been a Bengali Civil Servant for many years.
He first married Marian Cattell in 1859, though she died 3 years later. He then married Emily Ann Kilby in 1863.
