Stow Hill Depot published 'The Abbot's Confession' so I think it's more likely to be Russell Besley.

In vol 4 of his periodical 'Words of Salvation' there is an article entitled 'The Friar's Confession' - don't know if that's the same as 'The Abbot's Confession'?

'The Friar's Confession' was printed too in .. https://bibletruthpublishers.com/the-friars-confession/sound-words-1873/la89092 .. which was dated 1873 which would be prior to Besley.
