I have my wife's great grandfather's copy of this book. My daughter noticed that it has bound into the back - after the flyleaf - a few pages with 12 additional hymns, some but not all of which were included in the 1881 revision. They are in a different font and look like an unorthodox addition. He was at the meeting in Beulah Road Wimbledon. I wonder if anyone else has seen such a thing? I am thinking if it is evidence that not everyone completely liked the 1856 book, and local meetings had customised additions - they are gospel hymns. If this is of historical interest, I can scan and copy them to Tom.

Thanks - I have two copies of th3 1856 book. One was owned by my wife's great grandfather - it has his initials embossed on the leather cover, and it has this curious appendix of 12 hymns in the back. 4 made it into later revisions - including three by Hannah Burlingham. I cannot explain it - or even date its addition to this book.
Should I be sending it to Tom for inclusion as a curio on the website?
