over all he had gone through in his
deep exercises of spirit, the retrospect
was praise, but the result of his own
exultation was altho' my house be
not so with God I think I have noticed
the Spirit leading the minds of saints
here to look to trial & I am thankful
for it. How often have we see C[hrist]ians
in the midst of trial, surrounded by
a quiet blessed influence, & that when
getting out of the fellowship of suf-
fering, they have become useless. There
are to be observed particularly, in this
Chap three things, 1st the result of trials,
2nd the result of David's outward blessings
3rd the resurrection hope of the morning
without Clouds. This hope meets us in
every circumstance whether of failure
or what not; we are never to forget the joy
