Albert Henry Storrie was born in Gateshead, a town in northeast England, on October 22, 1888. His parents were Thomas and Emma Storrie.

After the First World War, he left England to join George Howes in Lisbon in missionary work.

One day, when Mr. Howes was ill, he asked young Storrie to take a package of books to a missionary lady who was traveling to Brazil on a Royal Mail Ship. This was the woman who would become his future wife, Doris Burton, daughter of Francis and Annie G. Burton.

Some years later, in 1923, shortly after their marriage, they embarked from the port of Liverpool bound for Brazil on the ship DEMERARA, on June 6th, disembarking at the port of Rio de Janeiro on June 26th. They bought the house that belonged to Mr. McNair in Conceição de Carangola-MG, and Mr. Storrie took over the Bible work there. He cooperated in the evangelistic work along with fellow missionaries William Anglin and William John Goldsmith, throughout the Zona da Mata region, a border region between the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Espírito Santo.

When Doris became pregnant with her first daughter, Margaret, they decided it would be best for the birth to take place in a city with more medical resources, so they chose Rio de Janeiro. Their other three children, Denis Tyrrel and the twins Enid and Kathleen, were born in Conceição do Carangola.

In addition to their evangelization work, the Storrie couple contributed greatly to the literacy of children.

Mr. Alberto, as he was known by Brazilians, was the editor of  "Amiguinhos" ("Little Friends") a periodical for children's reading. He also contributed translations of hymns and writing from the 6th edition onwards for the hymnbook "Hinos e Cânticos" (Hymns and Spiritual Songs).

In the Conceição de Carangola region, Ms. Doris, a nurse, continued the community health care work begun by Ms. Charlotte Mc Nair .

Before World War II, they returned to England. Later, they spent another period in Brazil.

Albert Henry Storrie was called to glory in 1977.
