John Bauman Gottshall, a minister of the gospel for nearly three score years, died yesterday morning at 12:40 a.m., at his home. 311 West King Street.  He was 86 years old and was widely known in York city and county.  He came here about 40 years ago and during the past 30 years, conducted the Gospel Hall at the West King Street address.  Prior to coming to York, he carried on the work of an itinerant evangelist throughout Pennsylvania and Canada.  He has been associated for 65 years with those Christians known as ''Plymouth Brethren.''
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Johan Cruikshank Gottshall; two brothers, Frank Gottshall, Boyertown, and Abe
Gottshall, Sunbury, and a sister, Mrs. Katie Reigner, Pottstown.  Funeral services will be held Thursday evening at 8 o'clock in the Gospel Hall, 311 West King Street, with concluding services Friday morning at 11 o'clock in the Fairview cemetery chapel, Boyertown, Pa.  Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.  John Bauman Gottshall (1858-1944) - Find a Grave Memorial
