This is presented anonymously as a 'Castorean' tract. I presume that, being a classical scholar, Robert Beverley assumed that his readers would know that Castor was both the Greek and Latin word for a Beaver and sooner or later they would realise that the tracts were not only published in the town of Be[a]verley but by a man whose name was Be[a]verley..
