    • Dates: 1848? to 1853
    • Edited by: Frederick Naylor
    • Published by: Central Tract Depot
    • Description: [Little is known of Mr Naylor, however he lived 1811 - 1882 and died aged 71 and was buried on 27th December 1882 at Abney Park Cemetery, though his gravestone was sadly no longer there.]
Preface says: "The little papers composing it, are, for the most part, the substance of lectures on truth by different brethren; several have been revised, some re-written by themselves, whilst others are published without such re¬ vision, and with the addition, where it was deemed needful, of connecting thoughts. The responsibility the Editor feels his own: his earnest desire in compiling the volume, has been so to present important points of truth in a plain and simple way, as to minister to the comfort, edification, and instruction of the saints of God."

  • The Sunday-School Worker
    • Dates: 1873 to 1878
    • Edited by: ?
    • Published by: G. Morrish
    • Description: Began as an idea in TN&O Vol 15 and started the next year.
[30. "Ζ. Α. Β.," London. It is remarkable that two of our correspondents, for this month, have called our attention to the same subject, namely, a periodical devoted mainly, if not exclusively, to Sunday school work. We cannot but look upon such a thing as a desideratum—a positive want, at this moment, and we should heartily rejoice to see such a work undertaken by a competent hand. It would, we doubt not, be immensely useful. Sunday school workers could, through such a medium, communicate with one another. Questions might be asked and answered; interesting cases might be recorded; scenes from real life presented; actual experiences given; hints and suggestions furnished as to the best method of teaching the dear children. In short, in a thousand ways, a Magazine of this kind would, we believe, prove most helpful, interesting, and instructive to thousands engaged in this most blessed field of christian labor. As to a title, we should suggest the following, " The Sunday School Worker. A magazine designed for the help and encouragement of all who are engaged in this branch of christian service."]
