In the 1980s and '90s, there were two 'newsletters' distributed among the KLGs, "Tidings" and "The Circular", often with a lot of duplication. "Tidings" had been a Kelly/Lowe newsletter and "The Circular" a Glanton one. The latter was sometimes referred to as "the Glanton Gloomy" since it nearly always contained news of the home-call of some brother or sister or announcement of the closure of a meeting somewhere in the UK. At that time "The Circular" was edited by Billie Dronsfield. When the editor of "Tidings" decided to give it up, Billie continued "The Circular" as "The Tidings Circular". If it was issued every month it must have started around 1925 (Feb 2017 was issue no. 1104).

‘Circular No. 1’ was published by W.R. Dronsfield in January 1970. It was named ‘The Glanton Gloom’ by a brother in London whose parents were in fellowship with Glanton at the time of their marriage.
I have been told that, for several years prior to WWII., Mr Hamilton Smith edited a small paper, ‘Notes of Interest’, which contained current information of those on the mission field and of visits by brethren in the U.K. to brethren in other lands.
