I see it is reproduced in that compilation, but I can't see any reference to the author, other than initials again?

In the Magazine "God's Glad Tidings" of 1881, the initials "J. R." are attached.

Well spotted. I suspect the Glad Tidings copy is earlier than the one I have put up here.
