A strange title used for this piece. If Scripture is to speak, then some prophetical thoughts by Newton would have been in order. Newton correctly disassociates Russia from Nebuchadnezzar’s image, and throws some light on current historical matters. He would of course not know of Russia’s rise to a world power. But what about the future - Russia, the near east and Israel? Much has been written on this; for the interested reader, Mawson’s short note on this is one view.
