At one time it was the fashion amongst certain Christians
to reckon themselves as across Jordan and that the bulk of
Christians with whom they came in contact were still in the
wilderness. The idea sprang simply from ecclesiastical
arrogance. If there is one form of pride more distasteful to
the Lord than another we submit that it is the ecclesiastical
form.

There was a beautiful humility, which had existed in earlier times, that returned among the "Glantons", in which they once again recognized, lovingly, the whole body of Christ. I think it is for this reason that their ministry had such breadth, and such an audience, and has remained so helpful even into our day.
