Painting of C.H. Mackintosh

A painting of C.H. Mackintosh (upper body portrait, 70 x 90 cm) is presently on display in a private residence in Limavady, Northern Ireland.  This portrait of C.H.M. was painted when he  was in his eighth decade and is distinct from the well known side profile that is on this website.

The earliest provenance of the portrait is known to have been Merrion Hall, Dublin until it’s closure in 1988. It was more recently in Belfast in the home of Prof. David Gooding, who was taken to be with the Lord in 2019.

It is now held in trust and can be viewed by arrangement by any interested persons.

Any person interested should contact chm_picture@brethrenarchive.org
